At Hadi Engineering we carry out surveys to determine the volume of material stockpiles, amount of material removed from excavations and quarries, the capacity of dams and the amount of airspace remaining in landfills.
We use ground survey, UAV survey and aerial survey methods depending on the size and nature of the site.
Surveyors use special GPS receivers to measure the location and levels of the tops and toes of stockpiles and any other changes in grades. This data is recorded electronically to an accuracy of +/-20 millimetres and downloaded directly into survey software. A 3D model of the stockpile is then prepared and a volume determined.
Using UAVs, multiple overlapping images are taken approximately 100m above ground. These are processed into a 3D surface model and orthophoto from which accurate volumes are determined. For larger sites we use aerial photogrammetry to produce 3D models for stockpile, quarry extraction and landfill capacity volumes.
